Ko - Imari Kinrande Dragon Bowl
Rare: Large Dragon bowls on Japanese porcelain are not common. The colours are vibrant with the use of a bright overgrazed turquoise blue and purple that were reserved for high class items such as Kutani and Kakiemon in the late Edo period. Kinrande basically means gold gilt applied to porcelain in order to make it more desirable. Kinrande on a red ground was considered to be of the highest quality during the period.
